In conjunction with the birthday celebrations of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), 400 students and teachers of Pusar Ulak Primary School, Brunei 1 held a mini procession within the school compound in the hopes of encouraging young children to practise and embrace the footsteps of the messenger of Allah SWT.
Students were heard praising the prophet with 'salawat' and 'dikir' while performing the mini procession.
Some of the students were also involved in the actual procession on Tuesday.
"Most of our students are living in the proximity of the 4.3-km procession. Some of them joined various associations such as scouts, village and mosque councils. It's good to see the students getting involved in such an auspicious event," said Hj Mohd Khairul Anuar, one of the teachers from the school.
The annual event also saw a Naysid performance by Year Six students and a Maulidur Rasul quiz participated by both teachers and students.
