Mabohai Primary School Champion

Mabohai Primary School yesterday defeated Hj Tarif Primary School 2-1 in extra time to emerge as the champion of the Brunei Area I Primary Schools Football Tournament at the UNISSA football field.

Although Mabohai Primary School were in control of the early exchanges, it was Khairul Waez bin Kamran who took the lead for Hj Tarif Primary School on the 11th minute.

However the lead was shortlived as Mabohai Primary School came back strongly and got the equaliser in the 24th minute through Md Aiman Khairi bin Ismail.

After the breather, both teams stepped up a gear in search of the winning goal but the score remained at 1-1 at regulation time.

During extra time, Mohd Daniel Wafiy bin Asmadi of Hj Tarif Primary School scored an own goal to gift Mabohai Primary School the winner's trophy.

Md Aiman Khairi collected the MVP award for his high performance in the tournament.

Nudin bin Hj Mohammad, PPKD, Brunei Area I, Departments of School gave away the prizes to the winners.
